Sitting at 12,126 feet between Buena Vista and the Taylor Park Reservoir, Cottonwood Pass offers some of the most expansive high-alpine vistas in Colorado. In late September, the valley below turns golden with aspen stands, framed by jagged granite ridges.

We created this tee as an homage to high-elevation roads and the quiet beauty of the Continental Divide. Printed on a soft, lightweight cotton jersey that layers effortlessly under flannel or fleece.

Details & Fit:

  • Fabric: 100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton (4.2 oz/yd²)
  • Heather Colors: 52% cotton, 48% polyester (Athletic Heather: 90% cotton, 10% polyester)
  • Fit: True-to-size unisex retail fit
  • Construction: Shoulder-to-shoulder taping for durability through wash and wear

Cold wash, inside out, tumble dry low. Skip the iron on the print. Campfire smoke is not covered by the care instructions but is generally encouraged.

Free US shipping on every order. Orders leave the shop 2–5 business days after they're made, then 3–7 days in transit.

Printed on demand rather than in bulk, which means no dead stock and no boxes of unsold shirts at the end of a season. Designs are drawn in Colorado Springs by the people who camp at the places on them.

Cottonwood Pass crosses the Divide at 12,126 feet, between Buena Vista and Crested Butte.

It's paved the whole way over — switchback after switchback out of Buena Vista, the Collegiate Peaks stacked up on one side and Taylor Park dropping away toward Crested Butte on the other. The Continental Divide Trail crosses right at the summit, so the parking lot doesn't have to be the end of it.

The pass only runs part of the year — snowpack closes it in winter, and it doesn't reopen until late spring. Late September is when we go: aspens turning gold on the lower switchbacks while the summit's already deep into fall. The design is drawn from that view.
